Referee Exam

Thank you for taking an interest in becoming a USA Fencing referee.

The exams are available to those interested in becoming a USA Fencing referee as well as athletes, parents and other members of the fencing community. A USA Fencing profile is required to purchase either exam. After the exam is purchased, you will receive an email with your complete log-in information.

The Referee Exam includes access to five tests: the General Rules Exam, the exams specific to each weapon and a completion test.

The Referee Wheelchair Exam is separate and costs $25.

To pass the Referee Exam, you must pass the General Rules Exam and at least one weapon-specific exam. We encourage you to take all of the weapon exams to avoid having to pay the fee again to take additional tests later. The last part is the Completion Exam. Take this once you have taken and passed all the exams you wish to take. Once you complete this exam, you will no longer have access to the exams. You will have access to your exam scores.

A passing score is 90 percent or better.
