The Pasadena Convention Center's main ballroom offers 25,000 square feet of grounded strip space plus an addition 8,000 square feet of foyer for registration, vendors, weapon control, etc, for a total of 33,000 square feet of tournament space. The space is carpeted and sound-dampened for comfort. The state-of-the-art facility is LEED® Gold certified, making it one of the greenest convention centers in North America.
Adding to its appeal, the Convention Center is located directly across from Paseo Colorado, a three-block shopping/entertainment complex featuring 65 street-front retail shops, seven sit-down restaurants, a 14-screen movie theatre and more. The PCC is just a short walk from historic old town Pasadena.
The venue is close to multiple airports (Burbank, LAX, Ontario), museums (including kids museums), concert venues (such as the Hollywood Bowl, the Rose Bowl, Dodgers Stadium) and attractions (Griffith Park, the Observatory, Hollywood Studios). The PCC is just 2 blocks from a metro stop, allowing easy access to public transportation.
Birth year verification is required. Please check your membership card or log into your USA Fencing portal to confirm that you are age verified. If you are not listed as age verified with USA Fencing, be sure to submit an image of either a driver's license, birth certificate, passport or green card to the national office immediately. If you are not listed as age verified when you check in for your event, you will need to bring proof of age or you will not be allowed to fence. It is best to confirm this verification with USA Fencing at the beginning of the fencing season.
Equipment check will be available on Friday, January 12, from 4:00-6:00pm. The venue will open at 6:45am each morning and equipment check will be available starting at 6:55am. We highly encourage you to check your equipment on Friday afternoon to save you time in the equipment line over the weekend.
All events are capped - registration is on a first come, first served basis. Once the cap is reached, fencers wishing to add the event will be placed on a waitlist. Should a fencer withdraw from the event, the first person on the waitlist will be contacted. They will have 24 hours to register and complete payment. Should the fencer not complete registration in that time, the next fencer on the list will be contacted.
Tournament results will be available on www.fencingtimelive.com. Seeding, assignments and results will not be physically posted at the event. Please be sure to familiarize yourselves with the Fencing Time Live website as that will provide all of this information without having athletes congregate together around a display.
