Welcome to the Nittany Lion Cup Hosted on Penn State Campus, one of the top Div 1 NCAA fencing schools in the country!

ALL EVENTS ARE CAPPED

We promise to

Start all events on time within few minutes after close registration
No delay before and between rounds, and no flighted events
Highly skilled Bout Committee staff and highly ranked & licensed National and International referees

The Venue

Nittany Valley Sports Centre 92,000 Sq Ft with 38 grounded strips
Separate setup for Final Strip

Located within Penn State Campus

Equipment Check

Equipment Check will be opened Friday 12/15/23 from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM, as well as all event days from 6:30 AM
It is highly recommended to come and check your equipment on Friday if your event is the first event on Saturday. Other fencers are also welcomed to check their equipment on Friday

Important - Read Carefully

All fencing strips will be surrounded by stanchions (Fencing Zones). Spectators to sit outside the stanchions all times.
No food or drink allowed in Fencing Zones.
No parents, coaches, or spectators are allowed inside the fencing zones. NO EXCEPTIONS. However, only one coach is allowed to assist a fencer during DE bouts. Coach will stand in a clearly designated area and will be instructed not to step out of this area until the bout ends. Violators will be escorted out of the venue immediately. Fencers, please relay this information to your coach
Fencers to stay behind the strips all the time, except for the times they are fencing.
Fencers are not required to sign the score sheet or DE slips. They can check the results at www.fencingtimelive.com instead and report any error to the Bout Committee

Y8 = 2015-2018
Y10 = 2013-2016
Y12 = 2011-2014 (or on Y10 NRPS)
Y14 = 2009-2012 (or on Y12 NRPS)
CADET = 2007-2010 (or on Y14 NRPS)
JUNIOR = 2004-2010 (or on CADET NRPS)

Check-In

Venue opens 6:30AM all days. We recommend arriving at least 1 hour before close of check-in.
Proof of current USA Fencing membership. If a fencer is not a member yet, or membership has expired, the fencer has to complete and pay for USA Fencing membership at the door.

All fencers must have a USA Fencing membership card or a clearly legible copy to use the Auto Check-In feature.
Fencers to present proof of age: Original or copies of birth certificate, passport or driver's license, unless if the USA Fencing membership card has "Birth year is Verified " is noted on the card.
Fencers must check in everyday they compete.

Event Fee Info

Registration and Event Fees

Regular fees until Monday November 27, 2023 11:59 PM PDT - Registration 48, Administration $5, and Event fee is $60/event
Late fees (Triple) from Tuesday November 29, 2023 until December 14, 2023 11:59 PM PDT - Registration $138, Administration $15, and Event fee is $180/event
Starting December 15, 2023, No Online registration is permitted
Walk-In is permitted if there are open spots and approved by the Bout Committee

Refund Policy

Registration fees and Administration fees are NON-REFUNDABLE
Refund requests must be received by Friday December 1, 2023, 11:59 PM PDT
Refund of events fees can be requested by sending email to nittanycup@gmail.com
Starting December 2, 2023 NO REFUND, NO EXCEPTION for any reason
Refunds are processed a few days after the refund request is received and will be processed by USA Fencing National Office.
NO REFUND will be issued to No Show or Withdraw from events
