Welcome to the AMERICAN CHALLENGE SOUTH, the signature fencing tournament of the US.

ALL EVENTS ARE CAPPED

The Venue

Myrtle Beach Sports Center
72,000 Sq. Ft. fully air-conditioned open space venue
51 grounded strips with special setup for final strip with Video Replay

Equipment Check

Equipment Check will be opened Friday 11/3/2023 from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM, as well as all event days from 6:30 AM
It is highly recommended to come and check your equipment on Friday if your event is the first event on Saturday. Other fencers are also welcomed to check their equipment on Thursday

Important - Read Carefully

All events will be capped, and entry is on a first-come first-served basis - NO EXCEPTIONS. Once the tournament has filled to the capped amount, a wait list will begin. When an athlete withdraws from the event the next person on the wait list will then have 24 hours to officially register for the event and pay event fees.
All fencing strips will be surrounded by stanchions (Fencing Zones). Spectators to sit outside the stanchions all times.
No food or drink allowed in Fencing Zones.
No parents, coaches, or spectators are allowed inside the fencing zones. NO EXCEPTIONS. However, only one coach is allowed to assist a fencer during DE bouts. Coach will stand in a clearly designated area and will be instructed not to step out of this area until the bout ends. Violators will be escorted out of the venue immediately. Fencers, please relay this information to your coach
Only fencers are allowed inside the fencing zones, and must stay behind the strips all the time, except for the times they are fencing.
Fencers are not required to sign the score sheet or DE slips. They can check the results at www.fencingtimelive.com instead and report any error to the Bout Committee

Y8 = 2015-2018
Y10 = 2013-2016
Y12 = 2011-2014 (or on Y10 NRPS)
Y14 = 2009-2012 (or on Y12 NRPS)
CADET = 2007-2010 (or on Y14 NRPS)
JUNIOR = 2004-2010 (or on CADET NRPS)
ROC = Born 2010 or earlier (or on Junior NRPS)

Check-In

Venue opens 6:30 AM all days. We recommend arriving at least 1 hour before close of check-in.
Proof of current USA Fencing membership. If fencer is not a member yet, or membership expired, fencer has to complete and pay for USA Fencing membership at he door.
All fencers have to have USA Fencing membership card or clearly legible copy to use Auto Check-In feature.
Fencers to present proof of age: Original or copies of birth certificate, passport, or driver's license, unless if USA Fencing membership card has "Birth year is Verified " is noted on the card.
Fencers must check in everyday they compete.

Event Fee Info

Registration and Event Fees

Regular fees until Monday October 16, 2023 11:59 PM PDT - Registration $48, Administration $5, and Event fee is $60/event
Late fees (Triple) from October 17, 2023 until November 1, 2023, 11:59 PM PDT - Registration $144, Administration $15, and Event fee is $180/event
Starting November 2, 2023, No Online registration is permitted
Walk-In is permitted if there are open spots and approved by the Bout Committee

Refund Policy

Registration fees and Administration fees are NON-REFUNDABLE
Refund requests must be received by Friday October 20, 2023 11:59 PM PDT
Refund of events fees can be requested by sending email to aif_challenge@hotmail.com
Starting October 21, 2023 NO REFUND, NO EXCEPTION for any reason
Refunds are processed a few days after the refund request is received and will be processed by USA Fencing National Office.
NO REFUND will be issued to No Show or Withdraw from events
