Everyone in the venue is encouraged to wear a face mask that simultaneously covers both the nose and mouth except when eating and/or drinking. A voluntary temperature check in addition to hand sanitizer will be made available to anyone in the venue as a public safety courtesy.
Armorers have the full right to decline checking unwashed or equipment that is not clean.
Fencers must bring the following list of equipment for equipment control by the armory staff: fencing mask, fencing glove, conductive vest/lame', body cords and head cords. Once your equipment has been inspected and marked with the equipment control stamp and control tape it is valid for the duration of the tournament. Daily re-inspection is not necessary.
If the inspection mark or control tape is missing a red card penalty for that bout will be issued by the referee and the equipment lacking the equipment control mark/tape will be confiscated by the referee for the duration of the bout. After the bout, the equipment will be returned to the fencer and must be re-inspected by the armory staff.
Fencing masks with a traditional "tongue" in the back must have a horizontal security strap that is firmly attached to both sides of the mask. Leon Paul masks with Contour-Fit Plus must have the mask strap attached at all times. Masks submitted for equipment control that do not have these safety features in place will be deemed incomplete and will not be inspected.
