The Venue

  • SportsPlex at Metuchen, 75,000 Sq. Ft. fully air-conditioned open space venue
  • 48 grounded strips
  • Plenty of parking space
  • Around the clock cleaning and disinfecting routines throughout the whole venue

Important - Read Carefully

  • All events will be capped, and entry is on a first-come first-served basis - NO EXCEPTIONS. Once the tournament has filled to the capped amount, a wait list will begin. When an athlete withdraws from the event the next person on the wait list will then have 48 hours to officially register for the event and pay event fees.
  • All fencing strips will be surrounded by stanchions (Fencing Zones). Spectators to sit outside the stanchions all times.
  • No food or drink allowed in Fencing Zones.
  • No parents, coaches, or spectators are allowed inside the fencing zones. NO EXCEPTIONS. However, only one coach is allowed to assist a fencer during DE bouts. Coach will stand in a clearly designated area and will be instructed not to step out of this area until the bout ends. Violators will be escorted out of the venue immediately. Fencers, please relay this information to your coach
  • Fencers to stay behind the strips all the time, except for the times they are fencing.
  • Fencers are not required to sign the score sheet or DE slips. They can check the results at www.fencingtimelive.com instead and report any error to the Bout Committee
  • Fencers to refrain from shaking hands after bouts
  • When you have finished fencing in your event, please gather up your belongings quickly and leave the building immediately. You may not stay and socialize
  • Monitors will be placed to display pools or results. You can also check live tournament results and tournament progress at www.fencingtimelive.com

Age Eligibility

  • Y10 = 2012-2015
  • Y12 = 2010-2013 (or on Y10 NRPS)
  • Y14 = 2008-2011 (or on Y12 NRPS)
  • CADET = 2007-2010 (or on Y14 NRPS)
  • JUNIOR = 2004-2010 (or on CADET NRPS)

Check-In

  1. Venue opens 6:30AM all days. We recommend arriving at least 1 hour before close of check-in.
  2. Proof of current USA Fencing membership. If a fencer is not a member yet, or membership has expired, the fencer has to complete and pay for USA Fencing membership at the door.
  3. To become a member of USA Fencing click here
  4. All fencers must have a USA Fencing membership card or a clearly legible copy to use the Auto Check-In feature.
  5. Fencers to present proof of age: Original or copies of birth certificate, passport or driver's license, unless if the USA Fencing membership card has "Birth year is Verified " is noted on the card.
  6. Fencers must check in everyday they compete.

Event Fee Info

Registration and Event Fees

  • Regular fees until Monday February 27, 2023 11:59 PM PST - Registration $35, Administration $5, and Event fee is $55/event
  • Late fees (Triple) from February 28, 2023 until March 16, 2023, 11:59 PM PST - Registration $105, Administration $15, and Event fee is $165/event
  • Starting March 17, 2023, No Online registration is permitted
  • Walk-In is permitted if there are open spots and approved by the Bout Committee

Refund Policy

  • Registration fees and Administration fees are NON-REFUNDABLE
  • Refund requests must be received by Friday March 3rd, 2023 11:59 PM PST
  • Refund of events fees can be requested by sending email to info@morrisfencing.com
  • Starting March 4, 2023 NO REFUND, NO EXCEPTION for any reason
  • Refunds are processed a few days after the refund request is received and will be processed by USA Fencing National Office.
  • NO REFUND will be issued to No Show or Withdraw from events
