Jan 15 update: Event close of check-in times have been changed - check your new event time. Some cap adjustments have been made and available slots are being filled from the waitlists. Event fee refunds will be accepted until January 29 if there is a waitlist and slot can be filled from the waitlist (there are no other exceptions otherwise to the posted refund policy)

NOTE, if your status is "WAITLIST PENDING" you are NOT officially on the waitlist. This is most likely because you did not supply the required payment method. If successful you should receive a confirmation with your waitlist position, i.e. "waitlisted #2." If you are "waitlist pending" you cannot be graduated into the event should a slot open up.

Regular fee entry deadline is January 14, 2023. It is your responsibility to be aware of fee period deadlines, as no reminders will be sent. Please read the Refund Policy (See Event Fee Details) before registering.

All events are CAPPED. Sign up fast to secure your spot. Event caps can be adjusted at any time to ensure balanced daily schedule or venue occupancy restrictions._ All check-in times are subject to change; check your event time before traveling to the venue. Entry is on a first-come first-served basis – no exceptions. Once the event cap has been reached fencers will be placed on a wait list. Note, fencer must supply a payment method to officially join the wait list and be eligible for graduation into the event. Wait-listed entry without payment method is designated pending and your position will drop below completed wait listed entries. Your card will not be charged until you are moved off the waitlist and into the event. Check your tournaments in your profile to see your status; if you are waitlisted it will show your waitlisted number. Wait lists will also be cleared on a first-come first-served basis. Every effort will be made to accommodate any waitlisted fencers, so if interested in competing join the waitlist.

RYC competitions are one of the possible qualification paths for Youth 10 and Youth 12 events at both the March NAC and the Y10, Y12 and Y14 USA Fencing National Championships. RJCC competitions may qualify Cadet and Junior fencers to the USA Fencing Junior Olympics and July Challenge. Fencers only earn points within their home region (your Region is assigned based on Division affiliation). The winner of each RYC/RJCC, regardless of size of field, will earn 100 points. The size of the participant field is based on all athletes in the event, regardless of region. RJCCs held between JOs regular entry fee deadline and the Junior Olympic Championship will allow fencers that meet either the Junior Olympic birth year criteria or the July Challenge birth year criteria. Those who meet only the Junior Olympic birth year criteria may only earn new classifications, but will not receive regional points.

Equipment Check
At the start of each competition day priority at equipment control will be given to the first events of the day until all competitors for those events are checked in**

**All event times are Close of Check-in. Fencers not checked in before close of check-in will be withdrawn from the competition, and no refunds will be issued.

** Check-In

1. Venue opens each day at 6:30AM. We recommend arriving at least 1 hour before close of check-in to ensure proper time to proceed through equipment check and for warm up.
2. Proof of current USA Fencing membership, current FIE license, or foreign federation membership must be presented.
3. Foreign fencers must obtain a "Foreign Fencer" USA Fencing membership. This can be done before arriving to the event to expedite check-in. To be a member in USA Fencing click here
4. All fencers must have USA Fencing membership card with clearly legible barcode to use Auto Check-In feature (either printed copy or accessed on your phone).
5. Fencers with birth year not verified must present proof of age for birth year verification: Original or copies of birth certificate, passport or driver's license, vaccination card, school ID etc. This is not required if USA Fencing membership card has Birth Year Verified "Yes" noted on the card.
6. Fencers must check in every day they compete.

We encourage all fencers and spectators to follow CDC guidelines for prevention of infectious diseases, including staying home if showing any signs of illness, practicing social distancing, washing/sanitizing hands, etc. Covid testing is not required, proof of vaccination is not required, and at this time wearing of masks is optional; however, we will follow current USA Fencing and New York Covid guidelines.
