The SYC is open to all regions. Fencers competing in SYC events will be able to earn points toward the Summer Nationals. For more detailed information on qualification pathways, please click and read through the USA Fencing Athlete Handbook

REGISTRATION All events are capped and entry is on a first-come, first-serve basis A waitlist will be utilized when the capped number is achieved. When an athlete withdraws from the event the next person on the waitlist will then have 48 hours to officially register for the event and pay event fees

EQUIPMENT Armorers have the full right to decline to check unwashed or uncleaned equipment

VENUE and VENUE PROTOCOLS Parking is free-of-charge Chairs will be placed on the floor in designated locations to allow for social distancing. Any violators will be escorted out of the building. Bleacher seating will be marked off to allow for social distancing. No congregating or gathering in any doorways, hallways, or walkways.

AREA OF PLAY and COMPETITION PROTOCOLS Monitors to display pools or results. Check live tournament results and tournament progress at www.fencingtimelive.com During Pools, NO parents, coaches, or spectators are allowed in the roped-off Fencing Zone. NO EXCEPTIONS You will still be able to watch from outside the barrier, but only fencers can cross the barrier into the strip area. ONLY ONE (1) coach OR adult can enter the Fencing area to assist a fencer during DE bouts ONLY. During the 90-second break, the fencer can approach the coach/adult at the end of the strip. Fencers must stay behind the strip at all times, except when fencing Fencers are not allowed to touch the scoring machine, weights, shims, remote and scoresheet. Fencers are not required to sign the score sheet or DE slips. Fencers can check the results at www.fencingtimelive.com instead and report any error to the Bout Committee * Fencers to refrain from shaking hands after bouts

  • Y10 = 2012-2015
  • Y12 = 2010-2013 (or on Y10 NRPS)
  • Y14 = 2008-2011 (or on Y12 NRPS)
  • CADET = 2007-2010 (or on Y14 NRPS)
  • JUNIOR = 2004-2010 (or on CADET NRPS)

Regular Entry Deadline: Monday, February 20, 2023 11:59pm PST

Late Entry Starts TRIPLE FEES: Tuesday, February 21, 2022 12:00am PST until Tuesday, February 28, 2023 11:59 PST

Online entries will be closed after the late entry deadline - with no exception Walk-ins are permitted with triple fees PLUS $50 surcharge, if capping allows

Refund Information

  • Registration fees and Administration fees are NON-REFUNDABLE
  • Refund requests must be received by Saturday, February 10th, 2023 11:59 PM PDT
  • Refund of events fees can be requested by sending email to events@rocfencing.com
  • Starting Sunday, February 11th, 2022 12:00 AM PDT NO REFUND, NO EXCEPTION
  • All refunds are processed after the last event and will be managed by USA Fencing
  • NO REFUND will be issued to "No Show" or "Withdraw" from events

    • Responsible for the referee staff during the tournament and assigns referees to various pools and DE bouts. Also responsible for the integrity on the field of play for the whole tournament and enforcing the fencing rules.

    • If you have questions on qualification paths, a discrepancy with points and/or ranking, pools, start times, and registration issues

    • Responsible for the qualification and approval of the equipment used during the tournament including but not limited to the fencer's equipment, tournament scoring machines, reels, strips, and tampering of any of these items.
