Welcome to the Apex Challenge RYC - Registration deadline is extended to October 12th

All events are capped. Registration is limited for each event.

The Registration Close time has changed for some of the events. This change was done in order to maintain load balancing of strips and staff and to avoid delays in start times.

Saturday

• Y14 Women's Foil - New time - 12:00pm
• Y12 Women's Epee - New time - 1:00pm

Sunday

• Y14 Women's Epee - New Time - 11:30am
• Y10 Women's Epee - New Time - 2:00pm
• Y14 Men's Epee - New Time - 4:30pm

Age Eligibility

• Y10 = 2012-2015
• Y12 = 2010-2013 (or on Y10 NRPS)
• Y14 = 2008-2011 (or on Y12 NRPS)

Covid19- guidelines

• This tournament is subject to current USA Fencing policies, federal mandates, state laws and local orders regarding COVID-19, including the assembly of persons.
• If the tournament is cancelled due to COVID-19 concerns or by the order of USA Fencing, a full refund will be issued to all fencers with the exception of administrative fees which are non-refundable.
• Armorers have the full right to decline checking unwashed or equipment that is not clean.
• There may be additional instructions related to COVID-19 safety measures. We will keep this webpage updated and we will send a mass email to all participants with all instructions prior to the tournament.
• All events will be capped, and entry is on a first-come first-served basis - NO EXCEPTIONS. Once the tournament has filled to the capped amount, a wait list will begin. When an athlete withdraws from the event the next person on the wait list will then have 48 hours to officially register for the event and pay event fees.

Check-In

1. Venue opens 7:00AM each day. We recommend to arrive at least 1 hour before close of check-in.
2. Proof of current USA Fencing membership, current FIE license, or foreign federation membership must be presented. If fencer is not a member yet, or membership expired, fencer has to complete and pay for USA Fencing membership at the door.
3. Foreign fencers must obtain a "Foreign Fencer" USA Fencing membership (free of charge). This should be done before arriving to the event to expedite check-in. To be a member in USA Fencing click here
4. Fencers must present proof of age: Original or copies of birth certificate or passport, unless if USA Fencing membership card has "Birth year is Verified " is noted on the card.
5. Fencers must check in for each event in which they compete.

-The starting time of each individual event is subject to change to maintain load balancing of the strips and staffing. We will notify all fencers if there will be any changes in the close of check-in times and actual event starting times throughout the tournament.

Tournament Format

• USA Fencing rules apply. USA Fencing rule book
• Equipment check required (mask, lame (as appropriate), mask cords, and body cords).
• Armorer will be on-site.
• Name is NOT required on uniform.
• Blades: The maximum blade length permitted for Y10 competitions is 32 inches (Size 0, and 2)
• 100% advance to DE after pool results.
• Events may be mixed gender if less than 6 fencers of either gender within the same age group.

• Medals for top eight finalists in each event
