Equipment Check

Equipment Check will be opened Friday 9/9 from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM, as well as Saturday and Sunday from 6:30 AM

The Venue

  • Fredericksburg Expo & Conference Center, 2371 Carl D. Silver Parkway, Fredericksburg VA

Equipment Check

  • Equipment Check will be opened Friday 9/9 from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM, as well as Saturday and Sunday from 6:30 AM
  • It is highly recommended to come and check your equipment on Friday if your event is the first event on Saturday. Other fencers are also welcomed to check their equipment on Friday

Important - Read Carefully

  • Facemask is now optional. Tournament attendees are welcome to continue wearing a mask if they wish to do so. However, everyone should continue to exercise safety precautions such as testing before traveling, staying at home if you test positive or feel sick, practicing frequent hand hygiene, and observing social distancing when possible
  • Big and rolling fencing bags are to be left in a designated area. Only small size strip bag is allowed inside the fencing room.
  • All fencing strips will be surrounded by stanchions (Fencing Zones). Spectators to sit outside the stanchions all times.
  • No food or drink allowed in Fencing Zones.
  • No parents, coaches, or spectators are allowed inside the fencing zones during pool rounds. NO EXCEPTIONS. However, only one coach is allowed to assist a fencer during DE bouts. _**
  • Only fencers are allowed inside the fencing zones, and must stay behind the strips all the time, except for the times they are fencing.
  • Fencers are not required to sign the score sheet or DE slips. They can check the results at www.fencingtimelive.com instead and report any error to the Bout Committee
  • Fencers to refrain from shaking hands after bouts
  • Monitors will be placed to display pools or results. You can also check live tournament results and tournament progress at www.fencingtimelive.com

  • Y8 = 2014-2017
  • Y10 = 2012-2015
  • Y12 = 2010-2013 (or on Y10 NRPS)
  • Y14 = 2008-2011 (or on Y12 NRPS)
  • CADET = 2006-2009 (or on Y14 NRPS)
  • JUNIOR = 2003-2009 (or on CADET NRPS)

Check-In

  • Venue opens 6:30 AM all days. We recommend arriving at least 1 hour before close of check-in.
  • Proof of current USA Fencing membership. If fencer is not a member yet, or membership expired, fencer has to complete and pay for USA Fencing membership at the door.
  • To use the Auto Check-In feature, all fencers must have a USA Fencing membership card or a clearly legible copy
  • Fencers to present proof of age: Original or copies of birth certificate, passport, or driver's license, unless if USA Fencing membership card has "Birth year is Verified " is noted on the card.
  • Fencers must check in everyday they compete.

Event Fee Info

Registration and Event Fees

  • Regular fees until Monday August 22, 2022 11:59 PM PDT - Registration $30, Administration $5, and Event fee is $55/event
  • Late fees (Triple) from August 23, 2022 until September 8, 11:59 PM PDT - Registration $90, Administration $15, and Event fee is $165/event
  • Starting September 9, No Online registration is permitted
  • Walk-Ins is permitted with triple fees if there is spot available in the event and approved by the Bout Committee

Refund Policy

  • Registration fees and Administration fees are NON-REFUNDABLE
  • Refund requests must be received by August 26, 2022 11:59 PM PDT
  • Refund of events fees can be requested by sending email to fairfaxchallenge@hotmail.com
  • Starting August 27, 2022 NO REFUND, NO EXCEPTION for any reason
  • Refunds are processed a few days after the refund request is received and will be processed by USA Fencing National Office.
  • NO REFUND will be issued to No Show or Withdraw from events
