Weapons check will be open Friday evening from 5-8pm. If you have an 8am start, we recommend getting your weapons checked the evening before. Weapons check will open each tournament day at 7am.
Pools Process. Tournament seeding will be posted upon the close of late registration. Fencers should verify their ratings, club, national points and other information. Contact info@fenceintexas.org with any corrections immediately. There will be no posting of pool results inside the venue. Fencers may view their pool results at [fencingtimelive.com] (www.fencingtimelive.com) on their smart phones.
After all pools are completed and entered into the computer, an announcement will be made that “pool round results are posted; fencers have approximately 15 minutes to report any discrepancies to the Bout Committee.” If a fencer disputes a score, they should find the opponent and bring that opponent to the Bout Committee where the score will be resolved. After the 15 minute period is completed, no other changes will be made to the round results.
DE's Process. The results of a DE bout will be announced by the referee and verified by the fencers. The referee shall note the fencers agreed with the score. The tableau and DE results will be posted on fencingtimelive.com.
Awards will be given to the top 8 finalists in each event.
There are no food or drink establishments within walking distance of FIT. Food or drink may be brought in from outside. There will be moderate concessions for sale at the venue.
The Tournament Organizers reserve the right to adjust these protocols as necessary in order to ensure smooth running of the event and in order to comply with any additional restrictions or mandates imposed by national, state, or local authorities.
Refund Policy. This Regional Tournament will follow the USA Fencing defined refund policy: “USA Fencing offers partial refunds to fencers who withdraw from national tournaments before the posted withdrawal deadline. The partial refund equals 50% of the event fee — in other words, $22.50 of the $45 fee paid per event. Unfortunately, the administration fee ($11) and registration fee ($24) are not eligible for a refund.”
• Refund requests must be received IN WRITING (via email to info@fenceintexas.org is fine) by midnight Central Time, January 31st.
• Starting February 1st, 2023, NO REFUNDS, NO EXCEPTIONS for any reason.
• Refunds will be processed by USA Fencing and remitted to the credit card used to register for the event.
Regular Fee registration period ends at midnight Central Time, January 15th.
Triple late fees begin January 16th and end January 31st.
Regular fees are $45 per event; triple late fees per event are $135. The registration and administration fees for regular registration are $35 per fencer; triple late registration and administration fees are $105. So for one person fencing one event, regular fees would be $80; late fees would be $240.
The tournament will be downloaded and seeded on February 1st.
