USA Fencing Age Eligibility
The Venue will open at 6:30am daily. Fencers must check in for their events before the time posted for their event at the registration table. Fencers should be sure to bring their USA Fencing membership card (or a image copied on their phone) as check-in will be done using a bar code scan of their card to automatically confirm them for their event. Fencers must check in the day of their event; if they fenced in an event on a previous day they must check in again for their next event.
Fencers must have a current USA Fencing Competitive membership (or equivalent) and birth years must be verified by USA Fencing - please be sure to confirm both prior to attending the tournament.
FOOD SERVICES
There will be concessions in the main foyer and there are a number of restaurants within a short walking distance.
EQUIPMENT SERVICES
The Fencing Post will be on site as the designated equipment vendor. They will be selling equipment as well as offering repair services. If you have any questions about equipment availability or services, please contact them directly prior to the tournament.
EQUIPMENT CHECK
Prior to arriving on strip, the following equipment must be verified by a member of the armory staff. Please be sure to have the following equipment certified by the armorers prior to the start of the event. Allow for plenty of time (at least 60 minutes prior to the time posted for the event) to check in and certify equipment. As there is often a line immediately prior to the start of larger events it is recommended that you check your equipment during quieter times whenever possible. Equipment that is certified is good for the duration of the tournament and does not need to be re-certified for multiple events at the same competition.
Masks
Gloves
Lames
Cords
The armory staff will be available for equipment check on Friday evening between 4 and 6pm.
The regular fee deadline is Wednesday, December 28. After December 28, late fees will be in effect until Wednesday, January 11. After January 11, no additional registrations will be accepted. We ask that fencers register for their events as soon as possible; the sooner we have solid numbers for each event the better we can plan for strip assignments, staffing and any potential adjustments to start times. This results in a smoother event for everyone, including (and most importantly) the fencers.
Refund policy
Registration and Administration fees are non-refundable at any time. Event fees are refundable until December 28, 2022, and must be requested in writing via email to info@southcoastfencing.com.
After December 28, 2022, no refunds will be processed for any reason.
Larger tournaments required advance (and non-refundable) payments from the event organizers for venue, staffing, food, parking, etc. Refunds will be processed by USA Fencing.
