If you cannot comply with all of the rules and guidelines, do not register for this tournament.
We are following all National, State, and local COVID-19 guidelines. There will be no exceptions to COVID-19 safety protocols implemented throughout the tournament.
Changes to the COVID-19 protocols and the tournament may be changed at any time to ensure the safety of all.
Check-In: Check-in for our tournaments will be performed in front of the club. The check-in worker will wear a face shield, mask, and gloves. Hand sanitizer will be available at the check-in desk. The competitors will check in via FencingTime kiosk software. Fencers will need a current USA Fencing Membership Card with Bar Code (Printed or via Cell Phone).
NO LARGE FENCING BAGS To limit contact between participants, NO large fencing bags will be allowed. Strip bags/small bags you carry with you are OK.
All Fencers must come dressed in freshly washed Fencing Uniforms (i.e. fencing pants (breeches), plastron, jacket, chest protector- if using). Changing rooms will not be available.
Everyone will be subject to a temperature check before entering the venue.
Do NOT come to the competition if you have symptoms of COVID-19 or a fever.
Proof of a Negative Resulting COVID test within the 7 days of your event is required upon entry.
Coach, parents, or spectators will not be allowed into the venue.
Face masks covering the nose and mouth must be worn at all times in the venue.
No shaking hands or touching hands/hugging after bouts. Fencers will be required to Salute and clap blades at the end of the bout.
Athletes shall refrain from shouting and/or screaming after scoring a touch. During the fencing, fencers will receive yellow/red cards for this behavior based upon the “disturbing order” rule.
No signing score sheets, fencers will visually inspect and approve score sheets.
Maintain social distancing inside the venue, except while actively fencing on the strip.
Pool and Strip Assignments will be posted ONLINE to avoid congregation. Wifi will be available so you can follow the live results.
Doors will open at 7 am each morning.
Registration opens 1 hour before the "Close of Registration" times posted.
Equipment Check will be available Thursday night from 6 pm to 8 pm as well as throughout the tournament.
Layout of the Venue: We have separated the venue into PODS giving each specific weapon its own space. The Fencers will have space in each POD six feet apart from the others to place their belongings and to sit. The Referees will call each fencer to the strip from where they are sitting.
Registration fees will not be refunded. There are no exceptions. Prior to May 8th, 100% of the event fee will be refunded if the organizer (firstname.lastname@example.org) is contacted with a refund request (including Fencers Name, USA Fencing Membership Number, and Event). After May 8th, there will be no refunds of the event fee. Refunds are processed immediately upon request so be very sure you wish to withdraw.
No refunds will be issued for No Shows.
CANCELLATION POLICY: If the tournament is canceled for reasons beyond our control, event fees will be refunded.
NO WALK-INS will be accepted at this tournament.
Please Note for Y10 Saber:
If we have low registration numbers and if we have get a unanimous agreement from each fencer to merge the Men's and Women's event together, PLEASE NOTE: The Points will be rewarded as a SINGLE event instead of separately for Men's and Women's.

Parking will be very limited on-site. We have arranged for overflow parking at the (Sun Garden Shopping Center (a quick 6 min walk)).
Note: There is no street parking in front of the venue on South 1st Street. Please be kind to our neighbors and park respectfully on the side streets. Do not block driveways.
