BladeRunner ROC RJC Reg

The 25th Annual BladeRunner Regional Open Circuit "ROC" & Regional Junior Circuit "RJC" Southern California's most renowned Tournament. Hosted by the UC San Diego Fencing Team and supported by the San Diego Division of USA Fencing and Western Fencing Coalition info.

ROC is a Qualifier for Div IA, II, and Vet at Summer Nationals. RJC is a Qualifier for Junior Olympics and July Challenge.

Fantastic Venue - UCSD's RIMAC Arena!!! Up to 26 grounded strips, qualified referees, UC San Diego Athletic Trainers, Armorer-equipment check, and basic repairs. The Fencing Post will deliver at the venue if you pre-order online at designated times, please contact them for details 760 746 7000.

COVID-19 Guidelines (New as of 11/1/21) - Read Carefully

• This tournament is subject to state laws and orders regarding COVID-19, USA Fencing protocols and UC San Diego Campus Health guidelines.
• COVID-19 Protocols will be implemented throughout the whole tournament. There will be no exceptions. IF YOU CAN'T COMPLY DO NOT REGISTER
• If the tournament is canceled due to COVID-19 concerns or by the order of USA Fencing, a full refund will be issued to all fencers except for admin fees.
• All events will be capped, and entry is on a first-come-first-served basis - NO EXCEPTIONS. Once the tournament has filled to the capped amount, a waitlist will begin. When an athlete withdraws from the event the next person on the waitlist is automatically added and charged. If you no longer want to be on the waitlist you can withdraw from it to avoid being charged when you already decided not to join us.
• If you are fully vaccinated and you have had no symptoms the week prior you just need to show your vaccination card at the door and you will get a wrist band. For unvaccinated or if you had any symptoms the week before, you are required to show a negative PCR test taken 72 hrs. prior to the start of your event. This means no sooner than Wednesday 11/3 for Saturday events or Thursday 11/4 for Sunday events. This is applicable to anybody entering the venue.
• For the symptoms screening you need to electronically sign a form for each day. The form will allow you to download a pdf and you can either print it or show us a screen shot of the first page when you check in. There are two separate links depending on if you are 18 or older or a minor.

• Everyone in the venue must wear a face mask that covers the nose and mouth. There are no exceptions. If you are unable to wear a face mask stay home.
• Face Shield is not a replacement for a face mask.
• No spectators will be allowed and only one Coach or Parent (if the fencer is a minor) per fencer.
• We will only check Fencing Masks and Gloves for safety to facilitate the flow of people.
• We have scheduled the events into morning or afternoon sessions with a break in between, you should leave the venue as soon as you finish fencing.
• No monitors to display pools or results. Check live tournament results and tournament progress at fencingtimelive.com
• There may be additional instructions related to COVID-19 safety measures. We will keep this webpage updated and we will send a mass email to all participants with all instructions prior to the tournament.
