Welcome to the 7th Annual SoCal Little Musketeers RYC in Region 4! We are hosting the tournament in the beautiful city of Thousand Oaks at the state of the art Sports Academy.
The facility is a top notch facility with the availability to provide a health conscious food truck(s) onsite to provide great food options for both athletes and parents alike. Sports Academy Homepage
We are also pleased to announce that Sports Academy is offering a wonderful video service for the athletes called PlaySight! Essentially when you park at the facility, you will be given an access code that will allow you to have the video access for that day at the end of the day. Athletes and coaches will be able to download video of their matches and review it as they please. They will also have the option for Live Streaming! Live streaming access will be made available but will have to be purchased online so that those not present may watch the bouts as they choose. More information will be provided soon, but the option to have Live Streaming and video of bouts sounds very intriguing! This will be the first time this option has been offered at Sports Academy.
More information on PlaySight can be found here. PlaySight Info
Parking will be offered onsite for $10 per day but will include access to the PlaySight video of all athletes competing.
The area is also rife with great activities for families to enjoy in the area.
There is the Gardens of the World which offers free admission. Also the Wildwood Regional Park is nearby offering family friendly activities including hikes, bike rides, horseback riding and a trek to Paradise Falls, a spectacular 40-foot waterfall. Ronald Reagan's Presidential Library is a short drive away as well as the Stagecoach Inn Museum and the Chumash Indian Museum. For the more adventurous, there is a MB2 indoor Go Kart racing facility nearby for those who are willing to partake.
Sports Academy also offers a great therapy section with professional medical and physical therapists and sports massage therapists as well as compression therapy.
All of our strips and scoring machines will meet the space requirements to provide the best for both the athletes and the referees as well as coaches while fencers fence. All machines will have the score and time readily available so that it will make it easier for all involved.
